Free David Blaine Magic Trick - Voodoo Ash Trick Here is a great magic trick that you can perform. If you have watched David Blaine's show, in one episode he ask a young lady to write on a piece of paper the name of someone special to her. He then has her set the paper on fire and he rubs the ashes on his arm. To the spectators amazement, on his arm appears the name the young lady wrote. The spectator then breaks down crying because of the performance and words from David Blaine, as he acts like he achieved this act supernaturally. Though this was a great act and impacted the audience, there is no black magic involved. David Blaine performed the Voodoo Ash Trick and so can you. Preparing for the Street Magic Trick For this trick you will need a small notepad, pen, ashtray, lighter, and a small piece of soap or wax. For the notepad, I recommend that you use recycled newspaper notepads (the paper is soft and easy to impress on). How To Perform The Street Magic Trick The important part of this trick is how you perform it. You must be entertaining and be able to redirect the spectators from your actions. Have a spectator take the notepad and pen and write a name of someone one special. If you are taking the whole black magic route, imply and impress that its someone they have lost. When the spectator has written it down, have them tear off the page they wrote on and give you back the notepad. Have the spectator take the page and crumble it up and put it in the ash tray. Then have them light it on fire. While this is all going, you should have a greater opportunity to look at the notepad and see the impression of the name left on the paper. Take your wax or soap and write it on your arm. An easier way to do this is to tape a small piece of soap or wax to one of your finger tips. Now take the ashes from the ash tray and rub them on your arm. The soap or wax writings should cause the ashes to stick. We recommend the Trickery for simple magic tricks you can get started with.
