This will teach you one of the basic card trick shuffles , the hindu shuffle. The Hindu Shuffleis an alternative way of shuffling that can be adapted to use as a force, control or false shuffle.
How to perform the Hindu Shuffle
Hold the deck in your left hand. Using your right hand, grab about half the deck (on the bottom). You should be grabbing at the long sides of the deck. Slide the chunk of cards that you grabbed out from the rest pulling them towards you. While still gripping the cards place them on top of the deck and release a few of the top of the chunk you just placed down. Slide out the remaining you still have and repeat. How to perform the Hindu Shuffle Force
Have the force card on the bottom of the deck. Begin hindu shuffling and let the spectator stop you whenever they like. Show them the bottom card of the packet in your right hand (the force card) and tell them to remember it. Spectators always seem to think that it came from the middle of the deck.
